Kelly said the issue stemmed from a "cartilage injury" that limited Anderson throughout his freshman year at Alabama in 2022 and required surgery. After Anderson worked out all summer, Kelly suspected "probably all that volume pissed it off."

Anderson had an "infusion," Kelly said, to address the inflammation. He will be evaluated after every practice, and LSU might manage his workload at times. But Kelly does not expect the issue to affect how much Anderson can play this season.

Work done on the knee? I'm guessing there was a better way to phrase that.

"Work" seems an odd word choice. It kind of suggests surgery but if he's expected back Wednesday I'm guessing not.

Might have shot the knee up with platelets. They can practice the next day after that, and the platelets help control inflammation.

Maybe. Either way, it would be ideal that he would not have to miss 5 of the first 6 practices… hopefully he is actually 100% whenever he does come back.

Serious question, is it common for guys to miss 5 straight practices for treatment at the beginning of camp?

One of my favorite players, AA, I always felt could be a monster in this offense. I hope he heals quickly and gets on the field ASAP!
