His Louisiana ties, system appeal in terms of a scheme that emphasizes his DL’s penetrating and making backfield plays , and charisma is gonna lead to elite d-line recruiting going forward

We obviously would have been fine with Bo Davis, but the Saints taking him was a blessing in disguise I think. Seems like Bo is more fit for the NFL at this point in his career and Kyle got the fresh energy to work with college kids nowadays.

I remember seeing him in videos in his last few seasons in the Bills locker room. I was thinking then that he would be a good DL coach.

Bo was a hell of a developer but his recruiting esp in the new age of CFB def started to slip. Texas fans were even unhappy with his recruiting Near the end of tenure. You said it best Kyle’s youth and energy is def a better fit with today’s college kids

You don’t know. My guess is that it’s both.

Can’t help to actually have a coach that played the position professionally at a high clip either. Kyle Williams has the skins on the wall

So up until yesterday’s Tank Jones commitment the word on the street was Oregon. However, mid day yesterday LSU upped their NIL offer to Deuce Geralds to test Oregons willingness to match/ or go above and beyond. Oregon did not counter strong enough.

I am told this decision came down purely to the NIL offer.

Yep, all the little Rant Fartknockers don't think any "Old White Guys" can recruit, especially on Defense.

Hey Kyle, it's OK, you can recruit a Kyle Williams clone too. It's not illegal. You might have to venture out to the Mid-West, but there's some out there.

We are recruiting as if we plan on swapping to a more traditional 3 man front.
