Heading there for the Clemson game. Any good recommendations on where to go get lunch before we drive down for the game?

Had great meals at Jianna and Scoundrel. But don’t know if open for lunch. Cool downtown would just walk around and find something. Had pretty good Persian food at Pomegranate for lunch last week.

High End places:
Jianna
Halls Chop House
Sobys
Larkins
Pizza: Belladinas or Sidewall
BBQ: Smokin Pig or Circle M . They aren’t in Greenville but on the way.

Had pizza from there delivered to my hotel a couple of weeks ago. Was delicious. Order of Arancini too.

Society Sandwich Bar is a great lunch place.

Smoking Pig is easily the best BBQ anywhere near Clemson
Halls has a great location, right off the river in downtown Greenville. It’s a perfect location and setting, but I don’t think the food is as good as the OG Charleston location. It is a South Carolina institution, though, and its lunch scene is actually great on a Friday, especially on a weekend like this. It’ll be hopping!

I tried the Greenville location twice shortly after they opened and did not think it was near as good as the Charleston location. Moved from there and have not had a chance to try again, but have heard they worked the kinks out.
Home Team BBQ has a Greenville location, would be a good lunch spot. It’s just not as good as Smokin Pig. Circle M does whole hog BBQ, forgot to mention that before.
Mike and Jeff’s is the hidden BBQ gem in Greenville city limits.. They are only open 10-4, the place is a hole in the wall in not the best part of town (hence the hours). Damn good Q though.
