Thinking about catching this tomorrow and doing a double feature with naked gun

Has anyone seen it yet? Heard it is pretty good but there is also a lawsuit that Franco and brie stole the screen play from someone

I’m going later today. I don’t think anything happened with that lawsuit.

Just got out. Thought it was great and it’s a really fun movie to see with your partner. I love horror but body horror is probably my least favorite sub genre, that being said this was done really well and wasn’t to over the top like The Substance. Definitely reccomend it. They have some nice scares mixed in that aren’t body horror as well.

They have a scene in a bathroom you can see coming but it will have you cringeing

I agree with everything you said. I feel the same way about body horror and I’m glad it wasn’t as extreme as I was expecting.

Highly recommend going to see this if you’re a horror fan.

I don't think Michael Shanks, Together writer and creator had anything to do with it. His first draft was 2019. Better Half, the movie claiming to be ripped off, was 2020, but..

Franco’s and Brie’s agents at WME were sent a copy of the script for Better Half in 2020. They passed on it.

It seems Franco and Brie could've taken some ideas from Better Half & included them in Together. There is a reference to the Spice Girls in both movies, that according to the BH reps wasn't in the first draft of Together.

Who knows. Pretty interesting though

I thought it was kinda dumb, to be honest. It was OK... but just OK. Out of 5 stars I'd give it 2.

I don’t know if I loved it or if I think it was meh.

Need time to process.

Edit: after a night to stew on it, I can’t get the movie out of my head. Specifically the ending. I realized while watching it, my mouth was ajar the whole time.

I’d say it was pretty effective in what it set out to do, so I give it two thumbs up.

It was fine 3.5/5. I’m also a huge Brie fan though.

Just got out. I had fun with this one. Brie and Franco are great. Not a bad way to spend 2 hours at the movies.

1 hour 42 minutes. The brevity on this made it very enjoyable. We didn’t need a 30 minute buildup and backstory on why this was happening to them. Saw it with my wife so it was not a genre we typically see together - we really liked it.
