Sounds good to me. Seems like Republicans are thinking out of the old box.

Congressional redistricting in Texas, which, if it passes, might prompt redistricting in California and Illinois and other Democrat controlled states Trump is still trying to get Missouri to do similar

It's inside baseball, it's not an X tweet that claims to understand what's going on i'm giving y'all hard raw data and see if you can figure out for yourselves

guess what you can't

because most of y'all are STPID all thats missing is U

California has a non partisan redistricting committee so that’s not happening there unless they change the law.

Illinois is already gerrymandered to hell. But you are right that it will lead to blue states retaliating. The problem with that is that the south is still hamstrung by federal courts in this regard. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina are still forced to gerrymander black majority districts.

If the loophole stands, it’s even more of a reason to believe this stunt is stupid.

Districts should be drawn with only population in mind, with a preference for existing administrative boundaries where possible—county, city, ward/district lines, etc.

Including ANYTHING else—race, political affiliation, etc is just asking for constant tit for tat frickery. The system is so broken. We need an amendment for mixed proportional representation in the House, and a repeal of the 17th amendment.

Wow, I would now be in district 11 going into west Texas. Maybe I can get something other than a liberal representing me now.

Looks good to me.

Gerrymandering is a political process.

Don’t like it?

Vote out your state reps and senators

Unless a federal law mandates a rigid uniform system, such as requiring congressional districts to be drawn from east to west in perfectly straight north to south lines, gerrymandering will always exist. And as long as it does, both political parties will use it to their advantage whenever they are in power. Expecting otherwise is just naïve.

Dims are going to do it if they can regardless what Tx does. Thats an old wives tale “we shouldn’t do it because then they might do it too”

Screw that, we need to do it every chance we can because the left will regardless.
