For those of you in north Texas the Midland rockhounds will be playing in Frisco versus the roughriders in August 3 games. If you feel like braving the heat...lol

White and Kurtz could be a pretty good 1-2 punch at some point for the As.

The A’s have some legit talent between Kurtz/Butler/Wilson/Soderstrom and langeliers. Get them a power bat in Tommy and some pitching and that team will be damn good.

It was cool to see his development at 3B year over year at LSU.
The amount of improvement he showed in 2023 tells me he has the work ethic and baseball IQ to keep advancing thru the minor leagues to The Show.

Tommy White made a strong impression in his first full year in the minors. Playing for the Athletics High-A team, the Lansing Lagnuts, White hit .277 with nine home runs. White is slugging .505 with an .853 OPS.
White’s right-handed power is legitimate and can hit the ball a long way to all fields thanks to his strength and bat speed. Tommy is known for his home run totals but he’s a better overall hitter than most people think, finding the barrel consistently and limiting strikeouts. Tommy White's knack for contact can lead to him expanding his strike zone, but he doesn’t swing and miss very often.
