Any recommendations on which guides to use? Looking for level 2/3 rapids.

Thanks

I'm interested as well. The Nooga and the area seemed cool as hell when I lived in ATL, but I never went there other than hiking.

It seems like 2/3 is hard to find. You see 1/2 and 3/4 more from when I have looked

We used the Nantahala Outdoor Center in Bryson City several years ago, and it was great. The place has a restaurant with outdoor seating that's fun for when you finish. We did the easier ride with our kids, but the site says they have 3-4, as well. Very happy with our experience.

ETA: Our cabin was in Sevierville, but we took a day trip to do this.

Most of the companies in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area use the same river and route. The upper and lower Pigeon River. The upper is the more adventurous with cat 3 rapids while the lower is cat 1/2. You can do both together, we did the upper with the cat 3 and had fun. We took a bus to the departure ramp and there were several other tours there along with ours. The water was cold which was fine, the initial shock wore off once you started hitting the rapids. We used Raft Outdoor Adventures, they were a fun group, and I would recommend them
