Heading there on Tuesday, looking to stay on foot in those two neighborhoods the whole week.

Lots of good places around there.

Hebe' in the Latin Quarter is an excellent upscale gourmet bistro.

Allard, on Rue St. Andre des Arts, the main street that runs through the Latin Quarter, is a classic Parisian style bistro.

A few casual places in the St. Germain des Pres near rue de Buci -

Fish la Boissonnerie and Freddy's Wine Bar are right across the street from each other and are owned by the same guy. Freddy's is small and popular French style tapas bar. You can reserve a stool at the main bar.

La Jacobin is also good.

Two more upscale bistros near there are
Le Christine on rue Christine near the Seine and
Boutary, a seafood specialist on rue Mazarine.
Boutary is fantastic if you like caviar.

I like staying in that area.

Thank you. Trying to figure out how to get into La Jacobin…plan is just to pop in the on the first day and see when we can get a table.

Thanks again.

If you like Oysters, Huiterie Regis (could be closed for summer). Also any of the Yves Camemborde spots - had a great casual lunch at L’Avant Comptoir du Marche few weeks ago.

Second Allard.

Also tons of great bakeries and chocolate shops around there. Let me know if interested.

Walk by some groceries dripping chicken fat on potatoes for seven or eight hours. Ask the concierge where they buy croissants, everyone has their favorite.

You aren’t going to take the subway at all? Seems odd? Taxi? Uber?

Given that, as stayed in the 5th right down the street from Marche Maubert street market. It was open I think Wed, Fr, Sat. But great spot for lunch, it’s where the locals bought a lot of their groceries for the week. There’s a butcher, fish monger, fruit, etc. Great spot for lunch, as said the rotisserie poultry above potatoes, it’s much more than just chicken I seem to remember 3-4 different birds roasting.

My favorites from that neighborhood:

Allard
Chez Fernand Christine (all the French comfort favorites, incredible Beef Bourguignon)
Boulangerie LIBERTÉ (across the street from Allard)
Pub St Germain (pours a nice Guinness)
The alleyway on Cour du Commerce Saint-André is really cool with lots of shops and cafes.
