Here’s my reasonable take on CBK

I’ve always disliked Notre Dame and CBK, and I was disappointed when LSU announced his hire. After listening to T-Bob, my peers, and fellow TD posters, I started to change my tune and got on board the CBK train. Our last coach was a cartoon character. He couldn’t speak clearly, he drank 6 Red Bulls a day, and he lifted weights in his office with his shirt off with AC/DC blaring. That guy won a national championship.
Our coach before that was a cartoon character - he ate grass and that guy also won us a national championship. If those 2 guys could bring us to the promised land with all of the resources we have, what could CBK do? Surely win multiple championships right?
CBK’s appeal is that he’s an adult, he’s articulate, and comes off as a reasonably intelligent person compared to O and Miles. None of those things actually matter if you can’t get results on the field. My problem with CBK is that his teams often look unprepared and aren’t capable of making in game adjustments. I’m also not a fan of the pieces he’s put around him, LSU isn’t the place for a first time play caller to get his feet wet. CBK also likes to throw around buzz words that mean nothing like “alignment” or “graduate champions.” Do you honestly think anyone involved with the program cares who graduates? The most disappointing part of his tenure is how undisciplined his teams have looked, which is the complete opposite of what we thought we were getting with him. If we lose to Clemson then I think it’s time for us to reshuffle the deck and move on from CBK

Welcome to the party, pal.

Shut the frick up. Nobody cares about your take. And it’s not reasonable. College football is completely different than it was during Miles’ and O’s tenures. And I still like both of them.

Every coach uses buzzwords. The great ones abd the bad ones. You’ll struggle to find a coach who does t

Hell, every fortune 500 company also uses buzzwords

Just glad you’re to see you’re still keeping the rantards in check.

My take is he is talking a good game. I feel good about the team this year, but leave the shite talking about fake death valley and bold predictions to us idiots. In his defense, he forgot more about winning football games than I will ever know. That’s my rant for the year… I’m back in alignment.

Football coaches have one mfering job, win games, and everything else is bs.
You can be the greatest guy on the planet, and everyone loves you intensely, but if you don't win, you will be fired. You can also be the biggest a-hole on the planet, and if you win, you will be fine.
I don't care if CBK drowns puppies for breakfast and kills whores on the weekend as long as he wins championships.
You can say what you want about Miles but he won his openers and until the last few years, his team was physical and prepared. The Pick 6 Lee shite ruined him.
And say what you want about Bebe but his teams were typically well-coached and always played with great passion. Both had excellent assistant coaches. They were both Champions.
CBK can not win an opener and his teams often look ill-prepared and often lack passion. This is his make-or-break year.
No more excuses, as Yodi says “Do or do not, there is no more try. “

T-Bob’s rant after we beat Wake Forest was a work of art.
“Ack, Cooper, Belosi, White, in the age of Ozempic, the thick boys rule the day once again”
I definitely miss hearing T-Bob in the mornings, it sucks that he moved north to work for CNN

All of what u said sounded reasonable until u suggested firing the coach if we lost the first game of the season. I’m not psyched to go through the roster turnover that seems to follow coaching changes currently. There’s roster turnover even if u have stability ffs.

This is the intelligent kind of post from a Ranter about the winningest coach in all of D1 college football.
You left off some glaring differences between the 2 previous coaches - NIL and unlimited transfers together. Fact of the matter is LSU was middle to lower end of the pack in football NIL Kelly stated from day 1 he was about building from recruiting and supplementing with transfers. He has changed some this season with high profile transfers but brought in a great class of freshman.
His biggest mistake was not retaining Blake Baker the first season. His second was giving Sloan the reigns last season. Throwing in the fact a hampered Oline from the first half of TAMU and your best running back had to play with a metal plate in his shoe in the back half due to injuries DURING the critical stretch resulted exposed by a the glaring weakness of lack of quality depth at those positions. He failed to get a center last season.
This year he has tools at every position and I believe they will be outstanding on both sides of the ball. You can’t win without talented depth and the last 3 seasons, that has been the case.

He’s actually been on a morning show everyday for the past few weeks… he’ll no longer be doing that come Monday though. But he will likely be on the FS1 morning show 2-4 days per week once football starts up.

Playing devil's advocate -
That's subjective.
Inherently false.
We haven't had a first time playcaller under BK.
This is every coach.
Based on what?
