…for a small short-term rental business? It would be a single-owner LLC and would be uncomplicated. I used a local attorney to set up my other LLC, but it was a bit more complicated.

For the operating agreement? Should be. You can always revise it in the future

Just do it yourself with the Secretary of State; if you are a single member LLC for the purpose of owning rental property, you don't really need an operating agreement.
The articles of organization are easy to complete in the online process.

Do what CFOtiger says. No need to complicate it.

I wouldn’t do LegalZoom again. After looking into how to register an LLC, it’s pretty easy to do it yourself. Geauxbiz tells you how to do it. LegalZoom is easy, but that’s what you’re paying for. They also hit you with a recurring payment for acting as your registered agent, which you can file any required documents in Geauxbiz yearly and not pay LegalZooms fees.

Legal zoom will also try to upsell you. Find a local attorney you trust and let them handle it. We’ve done 2 LLC’s in the last 5 years. The one using the local attorney was easy and cheap.
