My ole’ gal is 10 years old and (knock on wood) still holding strong. She’s done an amazing job.

Shoutout to you, babe! Couldn’t do it without you (because I would die of heat stroke).

My units are from ‘84, they suck up some electricity but I’ll be damned before I switch to the new “efficient” units.

Yep, appreciate it as much as you can. Ours went out a couple weeks ago and the temp window units are doing their best to keep up. Can't wait to have central air again soon.

Mine stopped blowing cold air this morning. Called my AC guy at Noon. Back down to 76 by 4pm. Cost some oysters, crabs and a pack of crawfish tails.

I live in a rural area. My ac unit died on the day of my dad's funeral at it was in August. That was the last thing we needed on that day. Luckily we had a good ole baw in the area that put in a new unit by the time we got back from the funeral.

Had a condenser go out yast year and he came out the same day. Nice to have someone dependable in the area and especially in the middle of a Louisiana summer.

Mine decided to not turn back on while I was out cutting the lawn. What luck. Maybe I can get a baw to look at it before Thursday.

I’m all for border and trade. Believe it’s a lost art in this new era.

AC made it possible for millions of Yankees to move South, if that's your idea of a good thing

Older Goodmans really aren’t too bad. They get a bad wrap because they let literally anyone buy them and install them. That means you get a bunch of shitty installs which creates problems.

Oddly enough invented in Syracuse, New York to keep printed material from melting.

In the carrier dome named after the inventor of air-conditioning had no air-conditioning

Goodman

Hated the Goodman plant closed down here in the county I work in. Goodman had offered to buy the fairgrounds from the county (so they could expand) and buy land for the fairgrounds to relocate and the county rejected the offer. This stupid county is run by “old money” and has made some bonehead decisions over the years.
