I thought the CBI was rediculous. This has officially crossed the line. That's four tournys now if you counting.

NCAA - 65 teams
NIT - 32 teams
CBI -16 teams
College Insider- 16 teams

They need to add a couple more if they want to catch up with college football.

I had actually forgotten the CBI even existed. What a waste of time both of those are. I figured it was going to die after last year.

I'm not sure, I don't acknowledge any tournament lower than the NIT.

There was some sort of validity to the CCA tournament in 1974 and 1975 due to the few teams that qualified for the NCAA and NIT tournament. Some fine teams were left out.

Now,I'm a junkie for hoops, but wow. This is too much.

I still think the 65th team in the NCAA tourney is the biggest sham and really needs to be put to sleep asap!

Why would anyone be opposed to more postseason play in any sport? What's the harm?

Doubtful that I'll watch it, but I don't get the uproar over such things.

Why not just qualify every team for the post-season? Half of the D-I teams in college football make the postseason, and it appears college basketball is trying to do the same.

Postseason play doesn't have to include playing for the national championship. The NIT has been around forever and use to be pretty big until they expanded the NCAA tourney. We've had minor bowl games for a long time as well.

I don't get the "too many" argument. The majority of people probably don't care to watch unless they are a fan of the program, but extra games and practice time are good for those programs. I don't see any downside to them.

i'm with JustSmokin....more teams no harm....no one gives a frick who wins the tournament...it may get 1 minute of love on sportscenter...but if your school is actually playing in it, then it's fun to be able to watch them play a couple of more games & give some incentive to win

I don't acknowledge any tourney lower than the NCAA (not counting the NIT last year).
