Butthurt fireman gets summer league baseball game cancelled

A MD fireman was so butthurt after his truck was hit with a baseball that he decided to flood the field, resulting in the eventual cancelation of that night's game
I thought firemen were supposed to be cool

I’m a retired fireman and I’m pretty cool. I listen to Alice In Chains. I can also still do a back flip, except it’s a roll now not a true flip. I even drive 5mph over the speed limit.

I know a few firemen in my area and they were all pretty cool guys and do a lot of community service. All it takes is one a-hole.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks this. My old gym got taken over by firemen a few years ago and I ended up leaving because they just kind of sucked to be around. You’d think first responders are in Delta Force the way they don’t want to talk to “normal” people and carry themselves with an air of arrogance

What a psycho. It’s not like he even just lost his cool in a moment of rage and acted out. Dude had to methodically hooked a house to the fire truck and spend god knows how long soaking a baseball field.

In his defense, it probably woke him up from his nap and threw off his routine. He'll never have the energy for video games and pickleball on the taxpayers' dime now.

I hated working out with them in the weight room at the station myself. Fwiw, and it's taboo to say this kind of stuff in the fire service in 2025. If I had to pick 5 firefighters that I needed shite to get done, fire attack, search/rescue, vehicle extrication, something serious, 4 out of 5 would be the closet alcoholic, 2 pack a day smoker, cabinet installers on side job, type. The 4 hour weight lifting guys who talked all the shite seldom come through in crunch time.
