I didn’t hear the answer to this when I got the real lawyers coffee this morning. I’m out.

No attorney, but this grand conspiracy morphed to encompass more than just Russia Russia Russia and goes all the way up to the raid at Mar-a-Lago. I would imagine the DOJ/special prosecutor has some time to work with.

Someone said with the conspiracy charge the statute of limitations start when the conspiracy is discovered.

Overall, I think you might be an intelligent person. However, your posts say otherwise.

Doesn’t matter which way you lean politically, but your posts are tiresome and predictable. End of the day, you do you.

There is no statute of limitations for the charge of treason. The Constitution defines treason, but puts no limits on the time for bringing charges. It is defined as:

Article III of the U.S. Constitution defines treason as levying war against the United States or adhering and providing aid or comfort to its enemies. Although there have been relatively few treason cases in American history, the Supreme Court has clarified what it means to "levy war" and provide "aid or comfort" to enemies.

For Sedition:

Statute of limitations for sedition in the United States
In the United States, the federal statute of limitations for seditious conspiracy (under 18 U.S. Code § 2384) is generally five years. This means the government must file an indictment or information within five years of the offense being committed.

Sedition is a federal offense involving conspiracy to overthrow the government by force or oppose its authority by force.

The five-year statute of limitations for seditious conspiracy is not always absolute.

Edited to add that the five year statue of limitations not always being absolute, likely extends the period when the documents or other evidence were covered up or withheld, which prevented its discovery. There is probably case law which says the period begins to run from the date of discovery of the evidence.

Brennen reset the statute of limitations by opening up his big Commie mouth last week according to DC legal experts.
