What would a trade for someone like Robert Williams II look like?

I’m not sold with our center situation and Walker Kessler would be my first choice but the price for him is just too high. Portland isn't going anywhere next year and they have Clingan and the Chinese rookie at center so I’m not sure what role Williams has with Portland now. I know he has a long injury but he also is one of the best rim protectors and defenders at the center spot. He can’t give us 30+ minutes a night but he could start over Missi or come off the bench for 22-24 minutes a game. The west is getting to be a big mans game and I’m not sold on Looney really being much of an option at the 5. Queen will one day hopefully start at center but with the team going all in to win this year I’d rather have one more proven big man if the price is right.

I have never understood drafting someone super early, then getting vets to take minutes from them. Queen, and Fears, need to play. They aren't going to get better watching on the bench. If we end up only winning 32 games instead of 42, that is just the price we pay. I'm not moving more assets for someone to stymie what we have..

So he can come here play over Missi is played better than clingan and take minutes away from our 2026 first round pick and our 3X champion backup Looney
