Weird Smell - Gas Leak?

Not having a good time tonight. Right before bed, we started to smell something very odd and unique. Sorta smelled like burnt plastic and weirdly kind of smelled like an onion? Maybe Sulphur?
I checked the attic, no smell. Checked outside, no smell. It seemed to be strongest near the fridge. So I’m thinking that’s a suspect.
Any ideas?
Update: was confirmed to be not a gas leak. When I went back a couple hours later, the burnt smell was very very strong. I cut the power to the house. Thinking maybe something electric. Hoping there wasn’t something toxic my family breathed in.

You may be smelling the ethyl mercaptan leaking from either your LPG or NG appliances.
The plastic smell could obviously be electrical insulation.
If it were me I would turn off the gas and breakers for your kitchen. This may cause issues with refrigerated or frozen things so it is your cost benefit analysis to make.

Slide the fridge away from the wall and sniff iaround the compressor and fan motor at the bottom.

Well I just had the gas company confirm it’s not a gas leak. After going back to the house, it definitely has an odd burnt smell. I cut the breaker to the house and have the family at a hotel room. I guess I have my work cut out for me tomorrow morning chasing this down.

I did this fully expecting to catch a big whiff of the smell and didn’t. My oven is electric.
I’m not sure how to proceed tomorrow. Is there some type of specialist that I can call to trace this down?
