I wish they’d get back to the football version of Last Chance U. Not sure why they stopped it.

It ran its course. I didn’t even finish the second season.

This was released today. Anyone watch any of it? Will probably watch tonight. Looks like LSU is featured in the first episode, but will probably be the first game vs USC. Ugh.

For those that have seen it how bad is the language? I assume Netflix doesn't edit what is said but if it's not terrible I would like to watch it with my 12 year old but I assume it's going to be way too much.

First episode was a lot more F bombs from Kelly than I thought he was capable of. Really had never heard him cuss before

Yeah that's what I assumed. Looks like it'll be a show for me and my step dad to watch with whiskey and a cigar.

Heard that.. I mean it’s only from the practice footage really. It’s not 60 minutes of him screaming F this and that..what you would typically hear on a football field at any level above peewee.
I just had never really heard Kelly cuss. The other 99% is easy watching, and fine for a 12 yr old. It’s cool to get an inside look at the programs and how the players spend their time.

Mix of Hard Knocks and Drive to Survive with the reporters offering high level overviews of programs with their brief histories and expectations. I’m digging it. The Vegas highlights gave me PTSD though.

Lagway seems like a great kid. Humble. Liked how Mertz handled everything real well. Napier seems like a real doofus, glad he saved his job. Sad about his dad though. Solid episode on the Gators.

The thing that struck me was watching DJ Lagwell get out of a $270k+ Urus and then says:

"Fans expect a five-star recruit to come in right away and win games, and, you know, I feel like that's unfair."

While I understand that a lot of the money a recruit gets their first year is effectively a signing bonus. Nearly 4 million a year means yep you are expected to perform. Most people in relatively high-paying professions can only start to reasonably think about dropping nearly $300k on a car in the 40s or 50s, some never get to that point.
