Growing up we played a game with a football where the ball would be kicked off to all the players. The one who caught it would try to score a goal at the other end of the field while everyone else would try to tackle him. When he went down, he would throw the ball behind him and the one who caught would repeat the process. What was it called? Rough house, maybe?

Smear the RebRxV is the politically correct way of saying it now.

We used to call that "tackle the man with the ball". Not joking....

We would call it kill the man with the ball if any adults were around but it was smear the queer if they weren't. I don't know why we did this because no adult would have cared if we used the word queer in 1970s Georgia...but we did it on the side of caution 'cause the one thing you did not want was attention of any sort from an adult....

In the 70s we would also play football with as few a 3 of us or as many as 40 per side depending on who was around. With 3 one of you was QB for both sides. With 40 to a side the routes were incredible and the defensive pass interference was shameful. For some reason related to homosexuality and the soviet union we never ran the ball....we did have so many seconds before you could rush the QB but some of us were bad at math so counting wasn't a strength....Our games would last about 8 hours if supper did not interfere and the score would be like 3 NBA games rolled into one. Or the game would last the entire school year and free agency was not only allowed but rampant....
