Why didn’t Matt Clark come back for the 09 season and win a ring

A better question is would he have been an asset or a detriment to the 2009 team? I remember him in the 2008 post season swinging for the fences every damn time he went up to bat against North Carolina when we lost those two games.

No patience or just getting on base

the games where he hit a HR in both games off future MLB pitchers for North Carolina?

And one of those was fairly late and either tied the game or gave LSU a temporary lead.

The hanging pitch he missed his last at bat would have still been going if he connected.
