Liberty Lagoon Thread - Major change at waterpark as it's no longer an all day daycare.

BREC announced today that they will now kick everyone out of the park at 2pm. At 3pm people they will let people back in the park, but they have to pay for reentry.
I am sure that this will piss off a lot of their people that use Liberty Lagoon as a daycare since they can't just drop off their 13 yo and have them stay all day.
BREC is saying that it's closing for an hour because of cleaning an it's hot.
I am guessing this will piss off a bunch of people and they will have to change back.

The changes will require guests to pay for entry twice to stick around at the park from open to close.
Liberty Lagoon's updated hours will now be in two sessions, one from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and then another from 3 to 7 p.m. The one-hour break will be used for deep cleaning and employee break, and keep everyone safe in the heat.

Finally. I’ve been making my kids go hang out in the parking lot for an hour anyway. You don’t play around with heat safety.

This summer has actually been slightly cooler than normal

Entry fee goes from $20 per day to $10 per half day?

No. It used to be $12 for the whole day ($10 if you bought it early). Now it’s $12 for the first session and $12 for the second session so $24 for the day.

Good that they can make the park more accessible to a larger portion of the tax paying population that funded it.

quote:I didn’t know they charged admission at all, from the looks of the crowds in that place I’d assumed it was free. We need a play by play of the first time they try to clear the park at 2pm. And like someone said, the 2pm-3pm situation in the parking lot will be something to see
