Service is always meh.

Ask again about conditions closer to the trip. I would imagine they will be quite different over the next 3 months.

But last I heard, the courses weren't in the best shape.

We played back in April and oaks was in pretty good shape. Azaleas greens were absolute dog shite. Rest of Azalea wasnt in the best of shape but passable but the green were terrible. Every green had multiple large sand/dirt areas. May have gotten better since then but that was our experience in April.

Sad to hear how much it has changed. I played it back in 2000 and they had some of the best greens in the south.

I haven’t played it recently, but play it once a year in late July around Neshoba County Fair time. Will report back in a couple weeks if I make it out this year.

I agree with the below average service.

I just don’t think the Choctaws understand golf. That’s fine, but when you’re trying to operate a resort course and employing 90+% of your staff off the reservation, you just get a lot of people that don’t know or care about what they’re doing. Like, they sound annoyed when you call to get a tee time, the maintenance crews don’t care if you’re getting ready to tee off when they round the corner, etc. Just a lot of don’t give a frick from the staff.

Want to say greens fees are still under $100, so as long as the course is in good shape, it’s still a good deal, because they are pretty courses.

We went on a trip there about 6 years ago. We enjoyed it. Maid Service at the Dancing Rabbit Inn was non-existent. The maids would sit in chairs by the elevator and ask they we bring down our wet towels to their cart and get new ones.

We found a pair of women’s eyeglasses at the casino one night. Always wondered who they belonged to because 90% of the folks there were dudes. Oh, everyone talks so country that their lips don’t touch when they talk.

My buddies went recently and said the course was in fantastic shape and greens were pure and fast

But they said the chief that was running the course was a world class a-hole

The dude working the register in the pro shop always seems to have had his Cheerios pissed in that morning.

We got caught with jug of margaritas on the course and the dude was pretty cool about it. He took it but we thought for sure we were getting escorted off the property lol

Can confirm the poor customer service. 6+ hours for a round one time (due to rain issues), and we played 17 in the dark. I left my 56 on the fringe and didn't pick it up. Realized it when I was cleaning up my stuff back at the hotel. Showed up at the crack of dawn to retrieve it. Went to the green. It was gone. Asked in the pro shop about getting it back. Was told, "If the maintenance guys have it, you will never see it again.". They had zero interest in even pretending that they cared.

That alone would be reason for me to make sure I never played there again.

Any updates from anyone that's played here last few weeks?

It’s soggy right now, so I’m not going to make it out this year.

The Azalea course is a bitch for an out of shape bastard that sprays his driver on occasion when it’s cart path only.

Anyone played out there recently as in past few weeks? Going up there in a couple weeks and just curious about current course conditions. TIA. Don't want to waste time driving if it's in bad shape.
