Do yall remember when MLB pulled the all-star game from ATL after Georgia cleaned up the voter rolls and put new restrictions on mail ballots a couple years ago?

That same governor and that same law are still in place, but I guess MLB doesn't give a shite anymore?

I encourage you to leave a comment below, and don't forget to hit that thumbs up button and subscribe.

Part of the deal with the Braves getting a new stadium was the league has to give them an all-star game.

Wouldn't be good to have an owner suing the league for breach of contract.

So you are saying MLB would be sticking to their guns right now were it not for fear of being sued?

So why do you think they are hosting in Atlanta this year? Manfred supports the law now? Give me a break. The dude is and always has been a piece of shite, but he owes Atlanta an All Star game just like any other team that builds a new stadium. It is part of the deal for putting in the investment. There's nothing political about this, it's just business. It was also business in 2021, move it to a later date when the controversy passes over.

Globe Life was built in 2020 and hosted in 2024
Truist was built in 2017 and was supposed to host in 2021
Marlins Park was built in 2012 and hosted in 2017
Target Field was built in 2010 and hosted in 2014
Citi Field was built in 2009 and hosted in 2013
Nationals Park was built in 2008 and hosted in 2018
Busch Stadium built in 2006 and hosted in 2009

So Brian Kemp is still Jim Eagle, but MLB doesn't want the Braves to sue them.

it would never come to that. It's all business. It was just business to move it as well until shite calmed down in Atlanta. If you think Manfred/the owners care more about their politics than the bottom line you are crazy.

That’s because it was trendy and cool to not want to host anything conservative

What are you so ashamed of, exactly?

I’ll take ‘Virtue signaling is nowhere near as lucrative in 2025 as it was in 2021’ Alex

That was easy. What do I win?

So you dont think it was agreed that they would host it in a few years in 2021? Man you are naive.

They didnt move it in 2021 to virtue signal, they moved it because the black players alliance was throwing a fit. Easier to just move it than deal with dumb shite. The people in the owners meetings know how quickly our 24 hour news cycle passes on to the next outrage.

You are clearly intimately familiar with these dealings. Share your information.

Surely there is some evidence of this, right?

Wouldn't they have sued them 4 years ago for breach of contract?

M.L.B. is quietly the faggiest pro league around with stuff like this. Trying to ruin a fan’s life for calling to the Rockies mascot Dinger cause they thought he was dropping N bombs when a black guy was batting. Recently they banned a fan for a yo mama joke.

God gave you a brain and a world of information at your fingertips. You should learn to use either sometime.

Manfred works for the owners. They wouldn't have moved it without Atlanta's owner going along with it.

Manfred doesnt have the support/power to tell a team owner they are losing their hosting rights period. That would lose him the support of the owner's room because they could be next.

Quick google says that's wrong.
quote:

No, the Braves owner did not agree to move the 2021 All-Star Game. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred made the decision to move the game from Atlanta to Denver due to objections over Georgia's new voting law. The Braves organization expressed disappointment, stating it was not their decision and that they had hoped to use the event to promote positive discussions about voting rights.
