Thought this might be a better place to ask than the OT. Didn’t see a recent topic on this (last one I found was March 2024), but was hoping to get some insight in converting my 2012 Club Car Precedent to lithium.

It currently has 6x 8v lead acid that will likely need to be replaced soon. Don’t need crazy range, we live in a “golf cart neighborhood “, so mostly for cruising and hauling kids/stuff to neighborhood pool/lake.

Any recommended brands? Any to avoid?

Any “lessons learned” or things to be aware of for a DIY’r?

Any Prime Deals I may be able to take advantage of?

I was looking a while ago and read many places that this brand "LiTime" was really good. Says it's on a prime day sale. LiTime

I have 72V allied in mine. Not that hard to install yourself, but my cart is very closed off to the motor and controller so it was a pain. My previous EZGO would have been a breeze

This thread got me looking at this set up...

$552.79

I'm not sure if that is a good price or not though... I've never dug in deep enough to know which battery I need and how much they should cost. I have a 24V 80 lbs. thrust Minn Kota Ultrex.

I used this one in a precedent. It is so awesome. Cart is crazy fast after dumping all of that weight. About 480 lbs (6x80) before to 100 lbs. Only thing that was unexpected was having to cut some of the plastic that held the batteries in place before on the floor of the battery bay.

Mine is a 60-65 amp/hr and I can get 4 days out of a charge. Just remember, when they die they die. 4.25 days mine died like dead.
