One of the LSU greats, The Mad Hatter, was a walking sound bite. Hate how it ended for him as change was needed, but I ended up YouTubing some of his best quotes

What a great time and a coach who won nearly 80% of his games as LSU coach!!

The Mad Hatter

Russell Sheppard quote

The Les years were awesome. Wish he could've gotten that 2011 title to cement his legacy.

If you want to accept the fact that LSU had to vacate 30 wins because Vadal Alexander’s dad got 180k. Go ahead buddy, I won’t stop you,

But I loved those games and saw the victories. He won all those games

That team was the best lsu football, at its core, all 3 phases, I've ever seen. Shame they didnt end that season the way they deserved to. And your right, les wins that, hes up there with some big names all time for 10 year stretches.

And to add to this. How did he hold LSU back? Saban LEFT LSU, who else could we have hired who would have kept the winning going? He won nearly 80% of his games, won a natty and played for another. 2 SEC championships and played for a 3rd.

I don’t think we could have replaced Saban with anyone better than the goat himself

Would have been awesome in gameday as a replacement coach who doesn’t make any sense.

Damn SA allegation robbed us

To start, he went 0-5 against Bama after the “game of the century”.

What was his record against Saban? Like 3-7?

I’ll give you special teams and defense. That offense was good at best. It fed off of short fields and opportune situations provided by the aforementioned defense and special teams. That team had a very rudimentary passing game.

Hr went up against the GOAT himself. It’s well known Saban was the best.

The offense regressed after Jefferson replaced Lee. If you don’t believe this, research the game stats. Defense carried him thereafter.

That’s fine, but others figured it out.

Sure the Lee pick 6 years changed his offensive style agreed. But after Saban aka the goat left, LSU could have gone back into mediocrity.

Les kept the winning going and won a Natty and played for another. Some people talk and describe the Les Miles era as if he barely won a game
