I’m fixing to start shopping for one for myself. I’m looking for one that can contact a family member or friend, not an ambulance. What’s out there thats good but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg? Thanks

I'm not sure if this would work for you, but most smart watches have a function that calls an emergency contact if it senses a fall. You'd have to have your phone near you for it to work

My watch has LTE. Also will call 911 if heart stops.

My buddy did this for his elderly father in law.

What's the average EMS response time where you live? Should have a setting where if HR drops below 20, send notifications.

Probably 4 minutes. Good point. Not sure exactly how it's set. I'm sure I read about it when I opted in.

I use a panic button that's part of my home security system. It has options for activating and deactivating the system from the yard and driveway as you leave it or return home. A button to call for medical assistance only, and a button to call parties in your response tree: yourself 1st to verify your need or if it was an accidental punch of the button, then if you are unable to answer it calls family, neighbors, friends you designated in the call tree, then if no response available from those parties in your response tree, it calls 911. It's actually a freebie that's available with the home monitoring security system. Just had to request that as an additional feature of the security system and pay for the panic button, one time cost.
