Traveling to Portland on Tuesday for our daughter’s wedding on Saturday. Got a pretty heavy to do list but will have a few days out there after the wedding. Anyone been to Cannon Beach? Hear it’s nice.
No pics of the bride.

I was just there for a day and a half last week.
I'd only go back if I were packing heat, which I wasn't.

Portland has the best, most varied music shops in the country.

Mate you should head to the beautiful Japanese Gardens (pictured below)
A stroll down NW 23rd Ave is our version of Magazine St.
We also have the best Pinots in America only 30 minutes south of Portland.
Finally you can swing by for a pint if youre free and check out the large "S" that Ive just had installed on my fireplace.

I second Powell's. That place is awesome.

Leave as fast as you can. If you drive around down town or any exit along the interstate you’ll see homeless people everywhere. It’s a pandemic there.
If you want to see beautiful scenery, get out of the city. Take Hwy 26 west until 101 north or south and you’ll see some of the prettiest country there is.

I don’t think you are allowed there unless you agree to protest anything and everything… good luck.

A lot of great hiking not too far from there. I don’t have any specific place but the best Thai food I’ve had has been there, the south doesn’t have any Thai food to match. Mountains all over, lakes all over, and great scenery. I’m not keen on Portland food but the bbq is not the same as the south so stay away from that

Drop by Clive Coffee and pick out a home espresso machine.

If you're a book nerd, try Powell's books that claims to be the world's largest bookstore. Powell's books
If you have some time to go west to the beach, you might visit Cannon Beach and check out the huge rocks.
Then, if you still have time, check out Multnomah Falls about an hour up the Columbia River. You can actually see it from the road but getting out is the best.

Used to be a pretty city but COVID, no laws, legalized drug abuse and no laws to enforce made that an urban waste land of zombies and Antifa clowns. Who need an old school beat down in public to teach them some manners/common courtesy. Big and tuff in a pack of 20 skinny Jean clowns with masks until the 1st one get cold cocked…highly recommend it!
Check out the haystacks,Coos bay, Brandon Dunes, the Nike Corporate retreat forget the cool little town it’s located in more mid state with a ton of breweries etc

Get out of the city as soon as possible. Just go East and as soon as you hit city limits you will have the most beautiful drive for a couple hours. Follow the river.
