I’d love to be at the show, but couldn’t get tix when the sale went live. I’ll watch the livestream on Saturday. Insane lineup:
“ Back to the Beginning will feature sets from Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Slayer, Tool, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice In Chains, Lamb Of God, Anthrax, Mastodon and Rival Sons.

The all-day event will also feature a supergroup of musicians. Artists announced so far include Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), David Draiman (Disturbed), Duff McKagan & Slash (Guns N' Roses), Frank Bello (Anthrax), Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Jake E. Lee, KK Downing, Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Mike Bordin (Faith No More), Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Scott Ian (Anthrax), Sleep Token II (Sleep Token), Papa V Perpetua (Ghost), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine) and Zakk Wylde. (Lineup subject to change).”

I think I'm going to pull the trigger and buy the base package.

Sabbath is one of my very favorite bands. Too bad Ozzy is such a huge piece of shite and Bill couldn't be with them on the last album and tour.

Back To The Beginning

I spent the 30 bucks. So far so good.

Epic lineup

Apparently all the bands are doing one Black Sabbath cover. Mastodon, not one of my favorite bands, killed it with Supernaut.

Anyone else having screen casting issues? Mine’s fine on the phone but when I try to cast it cuts out every few seconds.

That’s what holds me up from buying these ppv. We somehow have gotten worse at streaming live event and they can crash and any given moment and you’re out of luck.

That’s what I figured. Also I heard there is a two hour delay or something like that for the stream. Lame.

Surprise Amazon, Netflix, Apple or such didn’t stream this.

Anyone watching have any thoughts so far? Good audio and video?

I just watched/heard Billy Corgan do one of the worst vocal performances I've ever witnessed.

Audio wise it's fine

Black screen since before slayer. Can’t even open a window on phone much less screen cast. Was rolling well until after the TOOL set. Anybody else having trouble?

Tool was awesome. Sounded great but the camera was on Maynard/Adam for the most part during Danny’s 46&2 drum solo??. AIC set was ruined because Cantrells mic level was nil. Same for Gojira - mic level was very low. Unfortunately they fixed it by the time Billy Corgan “sang”

I saw AIC with GnR in 2024 in Houston and they kicked arse. I’m about to hop on YouTube and look for videos. I have been seeing a bunch on Facebook.

I saw Sepultura and Alice in Chains open for Ozzy back in '92.

No bow together at the end of final song? Tony, Geezer, and Bill walk off stage and Ozzy is left in the chair.

Tool sounded amazing and damn its good to see them shot clear with good lighting. They killed it.

Damn the end of Aenima was intense.
Justin and Maynard were feeling it for sure.

Good stuff on YouTube right now. GnR did good. Axl is obviously not the same singer as he once was but I feel like he’s getting better since he made his “comeback”.

I’m watching Metallicas set currently.

Not that I expect him to sing the same but on Jungle he couldn't stay on beat to save his life.

And not sure what BPM Metallica played Battery at but Lars kept up on the 8th note high hats the whole song. Pretty good.

You’re right about that. Blows my mind that he can’t get that right. I think he still trying to sing a lot of high notes that he’ll never be able to hit again and it throws him off. Just guessing though.

Metallicas set has been great so far.
