He's been going to football camps, including Miami's camp, for over a year. Father was a shot putter, I believe, for UNC. Well educated, good family.

He started as a freshman and already checks all the boxes physically.
I was a little harsh on Monroe yesterday morning on here. You know how I am.

His dad was either all metro or all state back in high school on the south shore (I think). He's an attorney in Mandeville.

Very cool thanks for sharing that

Alan Faneca is helping coach the offensive line at St Paul’s this year.

AS's father graduated from St. Martin's Episcopal. I was in HS with Andrew's aunt & uncle who graduated from STM in the mid 80's. The entire Shofstahl family was very athletic and incredibly smart. Doesn't surprise me Andrew is living up to his family's legacy. Shofstahl's "early comp" reminds me of the late Dr. Adam Perry who also grew up on the Northshore and was a beast on the field.

That’s his dad spotting him in that video. Kid definitely has elite pedigree. I’m especially excited to see how he develops under Faneca’s tutelage.

Does Faneca have a kid at St. Paul's?

Yes. His son is a freshman offensive lineman.

What's the word on St. Paul's this season?
I gather they have a really good secondary and some good OL.

Solid core, but lack depth. RB, LB and the secondary are the strongest position groups. New starter at QB is the biggest unresolved question, and they will be running a good bit more this year with the senior RBs and 3 returning starters on the OL.

Do you think Saint Paul's is a top 25 team? I have around 30 teams and 25 spots. I’m thinking they’re going to be on the bubble.
