For those of you still jonesing for LSU baseball content, here is a 2-hour highlight reel of the 2023 CWS run featuring clips from Jay and players as well as overly dramatic music. Worth a watch if you have time to kill.

The homerun video was fun but I had to start skipping 10 seconds for each one after about 20 “pucker ups” in a row from Lyn

Anyone that downvoted this didn’t actually watch that video. I love Lyn but listening to his “pucker up” call every 20 seconds 100 times in a row gets old quick

Happy that others enjoyed as much as I did. Brought back some great memories but also learned things I didn’t know or remember before. I didn’t recall the Tanks walk off coming off of the same guy who said that it felt impossible for anyone to beat WF. It was nice to watch that back with the drama built in.

It really is remarkable to see the difference between the 2023 and 2025 teams. 2023 had more "superstars", household names (to LSU fans), HR power, high velocity arms, and (seemingly) more highlight plays in the field.

The 2025 team didn't have as much of that. Yet, they were just consistently good from start to finish. They never really "felt" like a national championship team at any point. They just kept winning and winning until "suddenly" they were the national champs

They kinda felt like a natty team to me when they were 22-1

Agree 100%. I didn’t recall it this year but in 2023, Jay said that the talent in the bracket was one of the highest levels in CWS history. I would agree. I think that’s part of why 2023 felt so special.

it’s pretty awesome that was such a great season

it will be interesting looking back at 25 and 23.

23 you felt the greatness and almost a little desperation. Like if we can’t win with this team will we ever?

25 we jsut do even keel. idk if I ever felt like we were obviously the best team in baseball, I also never felt like any team we played was better than us.

23 seemed like it had a handful of guys who would have batted leadoff/cleanup for pretty much every other team in the country.

25 did not seem that way at all, more like it had two handfuls of guys who would've been like the 2nd through 5th best player on most teams. I feel like you could ask 20 fans to rank the top 5 hitters in order and you might get 20 different lists.

I'm not trying to be negative here, but is anyone else getting tired of all the "2023 was better" and "2023 would smoke this team" stuff on this board? We just won the national title, and it feels like half the baseball posts are focused on that.

I'd like to appreciate the 2025 team's win awhile, and then move on to rooting for the next group
