How many times have we had a single with nobody on and two outs?

So that pretty much cements that we got to be sellers right? 3-4 against the teams we have to beat.

Being a fan of this team is so incredibly frustrating. It’s like being in a sexless marriage and the wife every 2 weeks will put on lingerie and tug it a few times before she slaps the taste out of your mouth and kicks you in the nuts.

I wouldn’t go that far.

We won the World Series 4 years ago. Every team in the NL besides the Dodgers would take the last 6 years we had.

The frustrating part is that we won that World Series before our window truly opened, so we thought we were poised for possibly more World Series appearances, but AA has carefully deconstructed those chances each offseason and now we’re truly seeing the fruits of those labors.

Yep. Instead of adding to a really good team, he decided to tear it down piece by piece while adding a bunch of one dimensional players, draining the farm to do so.

So now, we're stuck with a sluggish roster and no assets in the minors.

An absolute masterclass on shutting a championship window.

Between acquisitions, players allowed to leave (traded) and contract extensions, AA has more strikeouts than Austin Riley

With regard to selling we really have nothing to offer other than Schwelly.

We could move Murphy pretty easily, he's probably the most realistic trade person that might be able to bring stuff back (that we could possibly be willing to move)

Murphy = salary dump. I would approve but we have no one in charge who knows how to spend the savings

Last week the announcers were saying "if we can start winning series and get to .500 by the All Star break that will be good".

Yesterday it was "if we can start winning series and get a few games under .500 by the All Star break that will be good"

We have 12 games left before the All Star break
