I don’t think it is as bad as it sounds.

Fears was a solid pick. Could be the next CP3 or Dame. Queen I get you not upset with the pick but the fact we traded up when we really did not need too. Yes it reeked of a Mickey Loomis move but I do think this move will get us closer to a “Win Now” team. I think Queen will surprise lots of people. Let’s give him a chance.

I'm willing to give him a chance, but this has the potential to be the worst trade in franchise history. Is it worth that risk for a guy who will never be a great defender?

Keep that same energy next year at this time when Atlanta is getting our lottery pick. I’m just a fan and think it’s bad. They have plenty of experts and former players saying it is a terrible trade

Since you can see the future, how about providing us with some Lotto numbers?

Queen can win rookie of the year next year it wouldn’t matter, this team will most likely be a lotto team and dumbass Dumars gave the pick away without any protections. No matter how you cut it, it’s a terrible trade.

Agree, Dumars could’ve thrown in Missi or Herb and they’d still be defending the trade as a great success.

The team goes against everything Willie Green stands for.

Lots of undersized players that don't play D. I wouldn't mind if we had fired Willie and got a coach that played up-tempo and had creative defensive schemes to cover up weaknesses.

This is almost as bad as re-signing Ajinca and Asik after hiring Alvin Gentry to run a fast paced offense

We need to be really lucky which hasn’t been on our side lately. The pick cannot land in lottery whatsoever. The west is absolutely stacked. Only teams I see us better are Kings, Suns, Blazers, Jazz. We are even with Warriors, Spurs, Lakers and Grizzlies though.

If he wins ROY against guys like Flagg, Harper, Johnson, and Bailey(stat whoring), I would absolutely not give a frick about the 2026 picks.

Now I wake up from my dream.

Y’all do realize we can trade Zion to get back in? Just a thought.

I think he is building it up for a Zion trade.

It’s actually the opposite. Going into the season with two very young rookies is fine for a rebuilding team. But to pick two youngsters is a move for the future, not “win now”. Fears has upside, but he is not going to help next year at his age. This is a guaranteed lottery team, and it gave away its ‘26 pick. Absolutely idiotic.

It’s really not you get your 1st a year early. They aren’t bad they can’t stay healthy; healthy enough and they picking after 15 anyway.

I hate it when I agree with you. But I also believe this is the endgame. Trading Zion.

Still doesn't excuse Dumars for not demanding some kind of protections on the pick. I can't imagine the Hawks would have walked away from that.

By the way, WHERE DO YOU LIVE?

Fears isn’t even close to the shooter that CP3 / Dame were. We’ve been trying to “win now” for the past decade and it hasn’t worked. Need a full reset but won’t happen under current leadership.

I could be wrong here but explain to me why it would be a bad trade if next years pick is outside the top 10? Lets say we end up with pick 11 next year that we send to Atl. To me all that means is that we made that pick a year early. Now if its a top 10 pick, its a bad trade because it means we weren't any better AND don't have the draft capital to improve.

To be fair, CP3 wasn't the shooter he eventually developed into coming into the league. His shooting is a testament to his work ethic and capacity to develop it.
