Day After Draft Thoughts

We all love the Pels here— And this is exactly the kind of move we’ve come to expect from our team. This is the essence of the Pelicans experience.
This franchise has a special talent for for ushering in chaos and in the event it actually hits on the money... just give it a little time to explode in our face through injuries.
But, here I am. I’m flocking up. Im ordering my daughters Queen jerseys and I’ll be slicing up some Queen Cake around the All-Star break.
And for every little 10 to 12 year old who might become a new fan... welcome to the party and there is no better way to start than this

Really not a fan of Queen. But hope I am wrong. He’s now a Pelican, so I’m definitely going to root for him. Wish we drafted a big spacer or a rim protector after Fears. We desperately needed ball handlers/playmakers and JD seems to emphasize that.

Yeah, I'm always a glass half full sports fan, but I have serious doubts about Queen. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I actually am a fan of queen although my exposure to him is limited to like a game or two in the tourney and a highlight reel
In the highlights, he is finishing to the left and right and playing D...but it is the highlights, you know lol

I really love the Fears pick! I think he’s going to be a great PG and excited to get him.
I’m okay with the Queen pick. I think he’s going to be a good player but I’m not sure of the vision and fit for him long term. Also, I think people are overblowing the whole protections thing. We are likely not to get a top 5 pick next year so that pick would be have been gone anyway. But I think it was a lot to give up but if he’s your guy then get your guy.

Im just excited to see us go out and get some guys with some swagger and attitude..
Kira, Dyson, EJ, Hawkins, Missi... all quiet guys who are just happy to be able to play.

I like both the players we picked. I love Queen, I think there is some group think going on with him, I see some very good projectable traits on both ends of the court with him.
