I am driving to St. Louis Saturday and can time lunch in Mephis or the surrounding area. My son ,likes BBQ and we have been to Rendevous a few times, but he says the ribs are too dry, so I am looking for a new spot to try. Nothing too out of the way from 55 North or the other hwy that runs through by Bass Pro since i am skipping the old bridge on 55. Any ideas appreciated.

I can work lunch anytime after Southhaven to West Memphis, no super sketchy areas though please.

Interstate Barbeque on Stateline Road in Southaven, just south of Memphis.

It's not much to look at inside or out, but the ribs are solid.

It's been a few years since I've been so I don't know if the quality is still there, but the Memphis BBQ Company in Horn Lake used to be very good.

I haven't been to Memphis in maybe 10 years, but my favorites were Central BBQ and Germantown Commissary. Can't go wrong with either place. Love the ribs at Central

Central BBQ has the best pork ribs on planet earth. I recommend going there.

Germantown Commissary was my favorite place to grab pulled pork. BBQ Shop or Cozy Corner for ribs.

BBQ Shop or Cozy Corner as someone else suggested. Neither of those will take you too far from your route.

Uncle Lou's Fried Chicken is also not too far off of 55.

Memphis BBQ Co is right off of 55 and would be the easiest to get to, but I wouldn't say it's the best.

Cozy Corner for ribs, cornish game hen or bologna sammiches. Close to St Jude. Pies there are wonderful too.

Memphis BBQ Company is pretty good. It can be crowded at peak dining times
