Last season I was a vocal critic of Michael Braswell claiming once that he was not SEC caliber. Well, my opinion has changed 10 fold this week and regret this statement! I honestly feel that we might not have won the championship or it would have been a lot more difficult without the stellar defensive play of Michael Braswell. That play in the hole and the bunt coverage were 2 of the best defensive plays ever by an LSU baseball player. I also had the pleasure of talking to Michael in the Embassy Suites yesterday. He is a very humble, modest and extremely polite person. I told him about how the Carolina coach praised him for those 2 plays and he sincerely thanked me very much. His parents are both also awesome people too. I watched Michael sign every ball bat glove and shirt that every Tiger fan brought to him in the Embassy. Most players signed a few and wanted their space but Michael stayed longer than any other player not leaving out one fan who wanted his signature . He will truly be remembered as a great Tiger!

He's a great dude. Lucky we had him. Defense was absolutely nails. Glad he ended it with a hit.

100%....especially on the bunt. That could have swung the momentum their way for sure.

He makes playing 3rd base look so effortless. My big dumb arse never looked like at 3rd base when I was playing.

LSU fans are often rough on players, coaches, etc. It was wonderful to see the crowd in Omaha get behind Braswell in spite of his struggles at the plate. One of the best representations of LSU athletics I can recall in recent memory.

Absolutely but it’s also not unreasonable to think we can recruit a stud defensive 3rd baseman that can hit above the Mendoza line.

Absolutely, but I also liked the team congratulating the Arky shortstop for his Golden Spikes award. Lots of high character guys on this team.

Pause

See this shite right here is complete ignorance on your part… and it happens far too much on this board by many others as well

I mean fricking think about it. Before he came to LSU he was already at another SEC program. So for lack of better words, he ‘leveled up’ as far as teams go. So not only one, but TWO professionals who get paid millions of dollars to make these types of choices (which their careers depend on), CLEARLY thought he was ‘SEC caliber’

But you thought you were smarter than an SEC head coach with skins already plastered all over his wall. It’s honestly baffling at times that people are comfortable saying such crazy shite as that and then standing by it like you frickin know something

The internet was supposed to make people smarter. It’s made people dumber. And it also brought their inflated egos along with them

It’s crazy. People need to think before they speak/post

Its not, that why its called the hot corner.

Has the easiest, cleanest throw from third and its effortless. A cannon.

Braswell played lights out defense.

Him getting a hit at his last at bat was the cherry on top.

Good post and topic. Please use the offseason to reflect on why it is so important for you to get ahead of the BPB thread with spoilers. Many of us could do it, but we don't.

Have a great evening. Go Tigers. Hope you had a great time in Omaha.

Played great defense, probably would have won without him. Good hitting ing Game 2. We’ll miss him.
