Because of the amount of hitting in the '23 Championship series I forgot how low scoring some of the games were. In '23 we scored 46 runs averaging 5.75 over 8 games. In '25 we scored 25 runs averaging 5 runs per game. In my head I would not have thought it would have been close.

I feel like the games overall in the CWS were more fun with bigger moments in 23. This year felt a little smoother and less stressful by comparison.

I would agree that it felt less stressful. I think being in the elimination side made things more stressful.

Yea, we would've torn that coastal series open if there was no wind.

The field in 23 was absolutely loaded in comparison.

Apples and Oranges. 23 was Stud City, 25 , while not as dominant at the plate, is probably a more well rounded team, especially defensively

I agree but that 91 mph popup HR yesterday was comical

The run totals may not have been that far off. But the manner in which they came were different. I think in the 8 games LSU played in 2023 they hit at least one HR in 7 of them. This year LSU hit only 2 HRs in 5 games (both by Jones).

That's not terribly surprising given relative to previous LSU teams this group had one of the lower HR totals. This wasn't a "loud" offense, which is what LSU fans have been used to for decades. That's why this team, compared to other LSU championship teams, felt different.

What I do like is what we have returning from the 2025 team as compared to the 2023 team.
