LSU First base coach

Sorry if I missed it somewhere but at our watching party no one could figure out what the CCs pitchers beef was with our third base coach. Not sorry if this has been covered.

The announcers seemed to think that the CC pitcher thought our 3rd base coach was looking in his glove to try to see his grip and tip his pitches to our hitters.

During the CC post game press conference one of the reporters asked starting pitcher Morrison what the deal was with LSU's third base coach during the game.
Morrison said he didn't know what the reporter was talking about and said there was no problem with Jordan and then said maybe it was during the time there was trouble with his mic-coms and he was motioning towards the dugout.

That was the catcher, Bodine, not Morrison.

That wasn’t Morrison answering the question. That was Bodine and he said he didn’t think there was a problem with the 3rd base coach, but it was about Morrison having a problem with his pitchcom. I don’t know if that was Bodine covering for Morrison or he didn’t see what was happening but it sure did look like Morrison was having a problem with Jordan.

Eades said on Scarborough's podcast said that he was in the reporter's well at the end of the dugout. He said that several CC's infielders were chirping about Johnson's sign stealing....they thought he was looking into Morrison's glove to see what his grip was pre pitch & relaying it to LSU's dugout. When Morrison & Johnson crossed path between innings Morrison was bitching to Johnson about it.

Jordan is the 3B coach, not Johnson. And I've seen several people call it stealing signs. It's not at all stealing signs. If a pitcher is tipping his pitches or showing his grip, any base coach worth a shite better pick up on it, and there isn't anything illegal about it.
Sign stealing is not reading pitch tips/grips. It's essentially impossible now to steal pitch signs because of pitchcom. There are no pitch signs to steal.
