Shores coming in like it’s a little league scrimmage game with ice in his veins

DC’s two out hit.

Shores first pitch. I’m always nervous with Shores control and his first few pitches says it all. He was on.

Other than the DP to ended it, those two pitches gave me the most confidence all day.

An in-game poster commented “this game has a weird vibe to it” and I agreed. With their ace on the mound I was worried they’d scratch out a 3-2 close one and stress us out for a game three. Then we seemed to relax and were getting clutch hits. At 5-1 I thought it would end up a 11-3 no-doubter. Then we kinda lost our bats, started jogging around the basepaths…. Maybe having our pitching so on can knock your edge off. At 5-3 I was genuinely worried. Proud of all three of our pitchers this series - how nuts that we only used three to win a natty! Favorite moment(s) were Shores’ strikeouts blowing 100 mph gas.

Stannie and Curiel’s 2 run singles.

I knew we’d win after that, but was expecting more runs.

You know the DP at the end of the game just solidified to me how our team rose about nervousness and jitters the entire year. Just smooth professionalism and that was the main difference between us and arkansas.
They didn't handle the pressure well.
