He should be further back.

He was in the right position, just a weird play

Cajun is right! The ump was in position and it was a weird play. He did what he could to get out of the way.

First time all day I’ve been right!

Lol I know the feeling, my friend!

I think it is just his reaction time is a little slow. He looks like he’s about 60 or so and just can’t move out of the way quick enough like a younger guy.

quote:He does kind of have cement legs and stiff hips. He had no business crossing over second base to get that ball in front of Milam knowing he'd have to eat it. I was shocked he got to the one sharply hit heading toward the the infield gap. He got a nice hop into his glove.

And not in the direct line of the throw

He ran into the play on Curiel’s slow roller. Ump almost ran right into the Coastal player.

what about later when he basically ran up in the middle of coastal players during a play in the field.

They showed him early in the game and the very first thought i had was that i recognize that guy but not in a good way, then the announcers immediately said he was Jeff head and my next thought was "well frick, he's going to screw us over on something tonight". To be fair, it was not in the way I would have guessed, but still.

Him running at that slow roller with three costal players was crazy. What was he thinking !

I agree. With whatever it is you’re trying to say.

Some of y’all are fricking idiots. He was in the correct position to see a tag at first. How the hell is he supposed to know where the pitcher is going to throw the ball or where the ball will go after it makes contact with the first baseman?

I love people who think everyone who sees something differently is an idiot. I pray one day you mature out of this stuff.

Jeff Head doing Jeff Head things, you don't run into the field on a throw to first. He watched the ball come at him and went towards the ball.

Just checking in to say....frick Jeff Head!
