Most of the major theater chains will be showing an early release of an upcoming movie this Monday (7/7) at 7pm for $5-7. The movie is revealed at the bottom of the post.

The promo has different names for each chain but they all show the same movie.

Regal - Mystery Movie
AMC - Screen Unseen
Cinemark - Secret Movie Series

Don’t scroll past if you don’t want to know.

I just got 3 tickets on your word... lol

But the run time aligns exactly with Jurassic World.

sick, thanks for the update. I saw bring her back on the same recommendation for the mystery movie and it was 100% correct.

Any idea what the R rated Screen Unseen movie is on July 7?

Perhaps I know what you did last summer? The mystery movies appear to all come out two weeks in advance of the actual release so I'm just guessing.

Then I shall do the same in solidarity. Jurassic World: Rebirth looks like it’s going to be a fun one!

Looks like July 7th is an AMC-specific event, so it may not be that big of a movie. It will be easier to guess closer to the date.

It won’t be a horror movie because that is the only genre they reveal beforehand (it’s called Scream Unseen). The runtime is an estimate so you can’t use it as a determining factor.

Some options:

Sorry, Baby (A24 drama) - Something bad happened to Agnes, but life goes on for everyone else. When a beloved friend on the brink of a major milestone visits, Agnes starts to realize just how stuck she's been, and begins to work through how to move forward.

Sovereign - Based on real events, the story follows a father and son (Offerman and Tremblay) who identify as Sovereign Citizens, a group of anti-government extremists, as they venture across the country and find themselves in a standoff with a chief of police (Dennis Quaid) that sets off an intense manhunt with tragic consequences.

Kill the Jockey - Remo Manfredini is a racing legend whose self-destructive behavior overshadows his talent; Abril, a promising jockey, is pregnant through Remo and must choose between having the child or continuing to race.

Compare the run times.

Look at how much the run time is in on the theater site and then Google the run time for each potential film and see which one matches.

The movie is revealed at the bottom of this post so stop reading if you don’t want to know.

Debating on doing this tonight and not wanting to spoil it. Question: Is it a good movie? I don't want to spoil it if possible but I also don't want to waste a couple hours on a bad movie

Review embargo is still in place so I can’t give any insight. It’s a movie I was planning to see before it was revealed so I have high hopes. Any other info will probably be too much.

Credits are rolling.

I really enjoyed it. Payed a lot of homage to the original. Leaned more into the horror feel of the first one.

I ended up having a work dinner and not being able to go last night, but I’m glad to see some positive reactions.

Looks like Regal added the MM to match the Screen Unseen at AMC on July 7. No word yet but the chances of it being a movie as big as JW are slim. Most of the guesses are the 3 movies I listed a few posts back.
