2023 Thompson - 1 for 30 (.033 avg) from June 11th (SR Game 2) through June 25th (Champ Series Game 2) (8 games)

Was hitting .273 when bad streak started
BA at end of streak .244
Went 2 for 6 with 3 RBI in the championship deciding game.
Final college career BA = .260
Current minor league career BA = .236

2025 Braswell - 1 for his last 35 (.029 avg) since May 16th (13 games)

Was hitting .235 when bad streak started
Current BA = .189
Current college career BA = .267

Baseball is a strange game sometimes. Braswell has shown that he is an average/decent major conference college hitter over 4 years.

I think Braswell will get a big hit in the championship series (let's hope so).

Well luckily for us Coastal throws mostly righties. Brasswell might have 3 at bats at most left

.189 avg is never ok. Especially when he’s had four years of college baseball experience. I hope you are right and he gets hot for the upcoming series.

Braswell has been totally baffling this season. We know he can hit. He had nearly 600 college ABs before this season with a career average of .286.

His K rate is up, BB rate is down. He’s never been a huge power hitter but his XBH have pretty much disappeared completely. It’s like he just can’t find the barrel anymore

Yeah. Going from a .864 OPS in 2024 to .580 OPS this season is baffling.

Holy crap! Hadn't realized it was that bad.

What are Reaves' monthly numbers? Seems like he has really struggled the past couple months in his limited opportunities.

It really is, have to think he has just lost all confidence in himself at the plate.

He's been a good Tiger, and I hope he goes out with some bat production this weekend in the last series of his baseball career.

Braswell has a long swing with slow hands not a good combination.

How he was leading hitter on the team in SEC games year is beyond me.

Maybe his swing wasn’t so long?

I’m pulling for him to figure it out for the weekend as he seems like a great guy.

He has not had a hit since April 12th. Although he's only about 0 for 12 since then

He also has TERRIBLE fundamentals at the plate. Nervous, rushes every thing - and a loop off plane swing.

0 for 7 since 15 May when Brasswell’s slump started.
Walked twice and scored a run in the second game of the supers vs West Virginia!
In other words, he’s not going to give you any offense to trade for Brasswell’s defense!
Like I said I an earlier post, We are where we are at this point WRT the hole in our line up!

Brassy ain’t coming out of lineup. Glove is too good and we getting enough offense without him. I’d start bunting him if there’s anyone on w less than 2 outs though.

He hasn’t hit good pitching all season. His regression in batting is wild, this isn’t just some end of the year slump. He has been bad all year. I’m honestly shocked that he never got it going, considering he did really well last year.

We already do that every time he’s up with runners on base and less than 2 outs. He couldn’t even do that last night. He can’t even keep the bat on plane on his bunts anymore. His plate coverage is so bad. Barely gives himself a chance to hit the ball with his swing plane
