NBA really screwed the pooch with bringing in Foster for game 4. Should’ve let it play out naturally and this would’ve been the most interesting Finals in nearly a decade.

This could be a massive blowout if OKC plays to 75-80% of their potential. It will be a slaughter if they are firing on all cylinders. Crazy, they’ve played poorly except maybe 3 games this whole run and still about to win the Larry.

Russ Westbrook has a lot to do with this team.
Back in the day on the 4th of July, KD snaked out of town and used a magazine to announce it then left the country so he didn’t have to face the music. Russ posted his now famous “Happy 4th ya’ll” and a picture of 35 cupcakes (KDs number).
Had Russ decided he wanted to leave the Thunder would have honored it. Russ was coming into his last year. So a few weeks later the Thunder had a big announcement at the arena and it was Russ saying he was staying and also signing his extension.
That year he drug a young new team to the playoffs and won MVP. That then got the attention of Presti who worked out a trade for PG13. They played 2 years and never could get over the hump.
So Clippers inquired about PG and Presti drive a hard bargain amd got SGA plus a plethora of picks, and sent PG to LAC. Then he traded Russ to Houston.
Fast forward and our current roster is mostly from those 2 trades and picks obtained.
Now imagine if Russ had asked for a trade after KD left (we got zero value for KD, he really tried to screw the team over on way out). Had Russ left then we never get PG and thus never get SGA.
Russ has had a big impact on this team and if OKC wins it all he had a part in it for his decision to stay after KD bolted.
