I think he's excellent at development, but I'm not crazy about his pitch sequences at times. I still think he wastes too many pitches ahead in the count most of the time, BUT
He called a damn near perfect game tonight, and is the reason Cowan bounced back. He's also the reason Shores is starting to pitch to his potential.
ETA: I wasn't sure I wanted him to stick around, but I was wrong. I don't want anyone else developing Evans. He could be special.

I like him but I wanted to hang him by his toes after all the slider calls with Shores and Mayers pitching; especially Mayers' 1st pitch of his outing to the #9 hitter......a single and repeat of his previous at bat with Shores pitching!
