We played multiple courses last 2 weeks in the Gulf Shores area - my quick update

1) par 3 round at the Orange Breach public course - ton of fun and got our shirt game dialed in - everything was very nice and affordable

2) GSGC - my 2nd least favorite course in the area - they have a new logo - I don’t like it - the course was in the best shape that I have ever played it - we had a breeze so that made it nice

3) Kiva - my favorite - the greens were micro punched a couple weeks ago - we could not tell - everything was perfect - it was more expensive than I remember - honestly, I can’t afford to play much more here

4)Peninsula - I was sick and hungover - everything was as nice but I don’t like the layout - in fact, GSGC is now ahead of this track - everyone was friendly and course was nice - just don’t like the course

5) Lost Key - I could not play - had to work - the guys ended up cancelling and had a beach day

6) I went to gulf links for a late afternoon range session - you have to loop around for entrance - I thought back in the day they had night driving range

7)glen lakes - best value and very fun - for price, we would do this again every time

8) a couple guys went to Fairhope to play - a few went over to Destin

Successful trip - we did not fish

I was going to try GSGC or Peninsula next time I was in Ft Morgan but it doesn't sound like you liked either place that much. Are they worth playing at all?

GSGC used to be great value. Not sure what they’re charging now, but if it’s a similar rate to Kiva I would reccomend just playing kiva.

Have played Peninsula and Kiva a number of times. They are far and away the best two options in the Gulf Shores area. Both stay in very good condition. I personally prefer Peninsula for a handful of reasons…. 27 holes… feels more like a private club rather than a daily fee resort course…slightly better conditions than Kiva day in and day out. Splitting hairs though…both good options.

Gulf Shores Golf Club is a cheaper option and also a good design. It’s just never in condition in the same ballpark as kiva or peninsula. Still fun to play from time to time.

Gulf Shores Golf Club has went up dramatically on their prices..no longer the cheap filler course for a trip it used to be

I went back and checked - it looks like my part of cart, 18 holes and taxes were $140 even

We played there at prime time early afternoon on a Thursday

$140 for GSCC? I swear three years ago when I played the week of the Fourth it was $65?
