This sneaky low-lying weed is taking over my front yard. Any idea what it is?
Is it too late to kill or treat?
Yard mixed with a blend of centipede, St Aug, and Torpedo.

Kinda hard to tell from that picture, but it looks like wood sorrel. Does it look like tiny clover and has yellow flowers in the spring?

I posted a better pic. I don't remember the yellow flowers.
It has a thicker stem and lays low, beneath the grass. Best way to describe

Looks like common lespedeza LINK
In this heat, use MSM Turf or Celsius herbicide. (Item 1 & 4 on the attached fact sheet). Add surfactant (spreader-sticker). Herbicides containing 2,4D would likely damage your lawn grass in this heat. Might require additional applications at 3 to 4 week intervals.

thats lespedeza baw.
mix MSM turf 1/8th teaspoon per gallon + 1-2 tbsp spreader sticker and spot spray. It's pretty easy to spot in the lawn because it has that dark green. This mixture will smoke it but be patient it takes about 1 month to die off totally.

lmao a freshly low-cut lespedeza utopia really is deceiving.
to be fair if it wasn't so hard and woody it would make a beautiful lawn
