Whoever wins has the inside track to a National Title so it's obviously huge. I'd even go as far to say particularly in LSU's case with 2 legit aces that this is the de-facto title game since we would be setup barring meltdown to throw our two best in the final series against Coastal Carolina, Arizona, Oregon St. or Louisville. Gotta like those odds but it all hinges on Saturday.

I will also say that I do think we could play our way out of the loser's bracket if need be so this is not a do or die situation.

Only 12 of the past 77 champions lost their first game. I'd say winning game 1 is REALLY important
