If all they are going to do is just stand there and try and be a “deterrent” then it’s useless. They need to be given actual orders.

Hopefully they come up behind the protesters and trap them so they can be arrested, interrogated, and deported.

So, it sounds like the marines and NG will be providing protection to fed law as they carryout their functions. That means they will have mobile protection and not just federal facilities???

i'm not a JAG, but i'm fairly sure "mobilized" is not the correct word legally speaking. mobilization refers to reserve forces.
