Anyone else notice Curiel telling teammates the pitches he sees?

He’s done it all season long but I feel like he has been even more animated with it the last stretch of the season.

Pretty fun to watch and impressive to see his accuracy with saying slider, changeup, curveball etc…

Kid is a special talent

Huh? Are you saying it’s impressive that he knows the difference between a fastball, changeup, curveball, etc?

That’s just how he dances.

No..he should obviously be able to identify pitches.

The fact he does it after ever pitch as a true freshman for his team and that he is as confident as he is when doing it is what’s impressive.

It’s part of his game dick.

He’s a gamer. He’s making sure the dugout knows what is being thrown.

Every player does this.

You are revealing that you never played the game.

Played it at multiple levels for a long time. Would usually just talk to the batter on deck or give my report to whoever is doing the chart when I got back to the dugout.

I never did it after every single pitch with hand gestures and shake my head like “yeah I saw that shite easy…nothing special”

Are they showing him after every pitch and are you reading his lips every time? I’m legitimately confused as to what you are even talking about…

Watch Curiel during his next at bat. After he takes a pitch he turns and tells the dugout what it was and where it was

It’s what Curiel drags across the face of opposing pitchers.

That diving catch is another example of his gamesmanship.

Pretty common for seasoned players to pass on tells, but for a freshman to do it shows a maturity that's impressive
