Sovereignty had another gear. Journalism left behind.

Easiest trifecta of the year.

On another note, Saratoga looked like an amazing place. That one is a summer vacation destination.

Sovereignty prevailing over Journalism in the stretch run worth watching even if you know the ending.

Real shame he didn’t run the Preakness.

Looks like he could have been an easy Triple Crown winner. Impressive runs in the Derby and Belmont.

For a greener planet.

Why didn't Sovereignty run in the Preakness?

Owner/Trainer chose to skip the race.

Evidently, trainer’s decision.

Horse wasn’t injured coming out of the Derby, but thought turn around was to soon for Preakness and chose to focus on the Belmont.

You would figure Siring fees took a big hit with that decision, but unlike others on this board animal husbandry isn’t my specialty.

If winning the TC was still..."will we ever see it again?" That wouldn't have happened. But Pharoah and Justify put that public fervor to bed.
