Design of the Panzer I began in 1932 and mass production began in 1934. Intended only as a training tank to introduce the concept of armored warfare to the German Army, the Panzer I saw combat in Spain during the Spanish Civil War, in Poland, France, the Soviet Union and North Africa during the Second World War, and in China during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Experiences with the Panzer I during the Spanish Civil War helped shape the German Panzerwaffe's invasion of Poland in 1939 and France in 1940. By 1941, the Panzer I chassis design was used as the basis of tank destroyers and assault guns. There were attempts to upgrade the Panzer I throughout its service history, including by foreign nations, to extend the design's lifespan. It continued to serve in the Spanish Armed Forces until 1954.

Im sure you've been asked a million times, but where do you get your models from? Hobby shops?

It’s a mix of hobby shops, Amazon, eBay, and model shows. I have a model shop called “The Model Box” that is about an hour from my house. I buy a lot from him since he’s local. I also try to find model shops when I travel for business. Plus, we like to take little weekend day trips a lot. When we do, I always check to see if there’s any hobby shops nearby. We’re going to Kennesaw, GA next weekend and they’ve got one of the best hobby shops I’ve ever seen.

Thanks. This particular Pz I was in the 3rd Panzer Div during the Battle of France in June 1940. It took part in the drive through Belgium and into France.

Thanks. Glad you like it. The tracks on this one dealt me fits. Other than that though, it was a fun build.

How hard was it to assemble that side car?

Btw, what brand glue do you use?

Really not difficult at all. I started and finished the motorcycle in one day.

Nice work as usual. I'm coming off of the hiatus after having some surgery my work in progress is a Tamiya jagdanther.
Who made that kit? I'm not a fan of the link and length or the individual tracks made up of a jillion pieces.

Glad you’re back in the saddle. Can’t wait to see your finished Jadgpanther. That’s one of the coolest AFVs ever built.

Sorry. Just realized I forgot that info in my OP. This is the new 1/35 scale kit from Academy.

Don’t sweat it. I love the downvoters. I like knowing I bother them but they’re too big of a pussy to say anything out in the open. Instead they leave a downvote as though it means anything.
