Opening weekend in Omaha

If the Tigers make it, any insight on how they choose when teams play their first game on Friday or Saturday? Seem to hear some chatter that LSU would get a Saturday night slot simply because it's LSU in Omaha, but curious if they are scheduled based on seeding, etc.?

Was curious about this too.
It would be LSU vs Ark/Tenn so makes sense to do the day game as Duke vs UCLA/UTSA

It should be Saturday night. Our side of the bracket is Saturday because we are the Sat-Mon SR. The other side is Friday because they are playing SRs Fri-Sun. We will be the night game because LSU vs Ark/Tenn will be primetime over any combination of UCLA/UTSA vs Duke/Murray St

If LSU reaches the CWS expect them to play next Saturday late afternoon/early evening

LSU/WFV vs Ark/Tenn will be Saturday prime time over Duke/Murray St. vs UCLA/UTSA.

CWS are always 1:00 and 6:00 central time starts. So yeah, if LSU gets there and can got 2-0, we would play Saturday at 6:00, Monday at 6:00, and then Wednesday at 6:00.

Saturday 6pm vs winner of Arkansas/Tennessee regional. Will be the toughest ticket of the tournament if LSU advances.
